THE NETHERLANDS AT THE INTERNATIONAL MARITIME FESTIVAL ‘BREST 2016’
The Dutch embassy in France joined forces with Brest’s International Maritime Festival to produce a Dutch village at Brest 2016. Bureau Bretagne managed the project: the concept phase, selection of partners/participants, fundraising, budget control and the practical management during the festival itself. In the Dutch village, visitors could discover maritime traditions as well as surprising innovations, including the ‘Windvinder’ project and the Plastic Soup Surfer. A group of Dutch students was involved in a language and internationalization project and worked closely together with their French counterparts. There was a clear and strong link between the participating Dutch ships and the Dutch presence on land. Have a look at the video below for an impression of the activities.
